Apologies

First of all I must apologise to those following Esta's blog for not updating for a while as I have been busy with another new addition all of my own....Yep thats right...I GOT A GSP!!!!!!!!
She's called Fen 7 mths old gorgeous, a star and from Sally!
But...this being Esta's Blog I better talk about her.... ;-)

Esta's getting to be a big girl now she is literally growing before our eyes! She's getting darker in her markings too and her eyes and turning that delicious amber colour.
She's been on a few trips out in the car just to get used to it. (she still dribbles and pukes everywhere...just this time not on me :P) She went to see her Grandma, Sally..who I'm suprised hasn't stolen her yet! (hehe).

Shes not in my room anymore as she needed a bigger pen at the rate she's growing so we moved her into the spare room, which she seems to be fine with as we hardly hear a sound from her!

She was feeling sorry for herself for a couple of days as she had an upset tummy which wasn't very pleasant to find in the morning. But after a couple of days worth of medicine she was fine and back to her terrible self.

We tried her on the lead yesterday, She was NOT impressed. Throwing herself about biting the lead and stopping dead was a bit of a give away... :/

Today we introduced her to Fen for the first time. My god she's very foward! We let her in and right away she charged up to Fen and starting biting and tugging on her ears and neck! Luckily Fen's a sweetie and didn't mind and played with her. By the look (and sounds!) of it there going to be great friends.
You can see the rest of there pictures on my facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=837652299&ref=profile

"When I grow up I want to be just like my Daddy!"

Just thought I'd share these pics of Esta finally mastering the standing pose and her handsome Daddy "Conte" owned by Sally and Paul Wainwright.

Shes all legs!

HURRRAHHHHHHHH we had a quiet night! nothing until half 7! Needless to say I am very pleased.
She is growing before our eyes and seems to be growing her legs first, funny things these big dogs!
At the moment she has taken the title of naughtiest dog we have ever owned! and we thought Cockers were hooligans, they're nothing compared to Bracco Italiano's! Have any of you ever seen Marley and Me? .......Well I'm starting to see a resemblance with Esta and Marley! Shes pulling over (large) plant pots, biting everything she can find (still including us!) eating stones, galloping around the house as fast as she can and when we come to practice the "show stand" shes having none of it!

She tried tripe today it lasted about 2 seconds before she was asking for more but apparently if you over feed larger breeds they can grow up with problems with there legs so she didn't get any more. Shes just another greedy Gundog that could eat until they burst!

She also had her first bath today and she LOVED it! Another trait of being a typical Gundog but I bet she'd much prefer it to be a smell muddy puddle or lake! ...Maybe when you a bit bigger Esta!

See you tomorrow for more Esta updates!

Emily.

P.s..It took me about half an hour to get that last paragraph right as a certain little lady kept standing on the keyboard!!!

First 2 Days!

So, we finally got her! The journey home was a bit scary for her. "who are you and what have you done with my Mummy!". It wasn't the best journey for me either as well as the anticipation of getting our new lady home the ups and downs and bends were a bit too much...... I got puked on.....TWICE the smell of sick was a bit over whelming but Mum found it very funny...I should learn to drive so next time I can get my own back and laugh at her! :P
She did fall asleep eventually.

When we got home we put her outside so she could have a poo and a wee, as it was a 4 hour journey she had just had! She was so good and did them straight away. She then had a sleep but woke up just as our good friend Sally came to visit ( Who owns Conte her dad who is ABSOLUTELY GOOOOORGEEOUS, I will post a picture later once I ask Sally's permission.) That's when she started to get a bit braver wagging her tail and playing with toys instead of sitting in the corner facing the wall!

At the moment shes sleeping in my room until shes a bit bigger to go in the dog room with the Cockers. I was happy to let her when Mum suggested it, But now...my gosh... She is the noisiest little thing I have EVER heard I was up at 3:30am eating chocolate and watching some cheesy American Xmas film while the little darling practiced her singing voice.

Day 2 she really came out of her shell playing, barking, exploring and even waiting by the gate when she needed a wee!! Bless her!
Although, she does play with us like one of her litter mates and razor sharp teeth are not one of my favorite things we've stated to act like one of her litter mates by yelping every time she bites...hard!

Apart from the puking, crying and razor sharp teeth. We love her!!!! And have decided to call her Esta! <3
